I looked up in alarm and saw the smirking face of my kidnapper. His face would have made me a lot angrier had it not been terribly swollen, thanks to yours truly.

Squint- look at someone or something with one or both eyes partly closed in an attempt to see more clearly or as a reaction to strong light.

Thought:

Even if the way you meet someone is considered odd or not normal doesn’t mean your relationship must become weird you can still be friends

i walk up to the desk of a pretty brunette women and smile, shifting the strap of the backpack before speaking “Jane Trevor’s”  i say polietly

Favorite Sentence:

Jane Trevors was the tomboy of her town. In kindergarden she was the first one to climb up to the top of the play ground structure.

Vocab:

Aimlessly- When you do something aimlessly, you have no plan or purpose.

Thought:

You don’t have to fall to stereotypes its more important to be yourself than do act like someone your not

Reflection:

Its not a bad thing to change your mind about someone because what can happen is that you want to believe something about someone but u then end up getting to know the person and liking there personality

Assumption- An assumption is something that you assume to be the case, even without proof.

Reflection-

To embrace yourself no matter who you are or who your parents are or whatever which is a great life lesson.

Not everyone has to be stuck with what others consider is perfect, sebastian was in a unhappy relationship with someone that everyone else though was perfect for him when it wasn’t

Reflection:

This book taught me not to fall for stereotypes because not everyones looks matches there personality which is a very good life lesson

#23 Georgetown Academy

Opening Sentence: Its the beginning of a new political administration. That might not mean much at most high schools, but at Georgetwon Academy, Washington D.C most elite prep school, January 20th means new alliances, new flings, and new places to party.

Favorite Sentence:

With so many new friends and former flames in the mix, things are bound to get a little heated and while diplomatic immunity might keep the cops away, there’s not much it can do about the press.

Vocabulary:

Immunity- Protection or exemption from something, especially an obligation or penalty.

Reflection:

This book to me was a great example of writing that makes the reader change their mindset from the start of the book to the end. When i was first reading this book i was sure it was going to be a book where nothing bad happens to the character, they fall in love such usually found in a teen girls book selection but after reading the whole book i realized that it was really more of a book talking about perspective.
