Blog Romeo and juliet

Today in class we had two weird and awkward things that we had to do. They were based on what we would like to have in our life as a perfect mate . And also what our parents want for us in our lives by way of a happy life long partner.

Now, IF  I wanted a girlfriend I will let you know. The problem is that I think I might get a little lonely if I am left on my own all the time because nobody else wants to talk to me.

In view of this it might be helpful to find somebody nice that I like.

I would like it if my future life partner was pretty and if she also has a good heart this will be good.

My parents, on the other hand, think that : a cute girl that is talkative…( i don’t know why they said that) My mom wanted someone who would support me and would be more like what Im not, ( Organised, can cook.?????? and a whole bunch of other things that I am not.

Everything Else
I enjoyed the champions Unit a bit because I was allowed to research on anything that I wanted to research on. What helped me learn better was that I was allowed to do anything that interested me. If I would do this unit again, i would choose steve jobs because he is an interesting person

1. What body system did you pick to build as a working model (7th grade)?

Me, Malcom, and Alex had decided to do the Immune system for our working model

2. Why have you decided to build this body system as a working model (7th grade)?

We wanted to do nervous system but then we decided against it because we did not know how we might represent it.

3. What materials are you going to need to complete your build  (7th grade)?

I think that we are going to need:

  1. Cardboard 1.5m X 0.5m : We need a base to put the stuff on
  2. Plastic bars X 4 1.5m in length each : To make the cardboard stand up
  3. Spring clips large size (click here to see picture) X 34
  4. String: We need a thing for the pathogen and cell to swing on.

WE ARE STILL ADDING…

For Science we had to present our work to the class and record it. This is what we recorded.

Mystery Mania

In class, we had to read mysteries and say what you thought, I got my mysteries from this link.

Mystery The facts… The theories… What do you think? Why do you think that? MLA Citation
Loch ness Monster The Loch ness monster is a monster that is sort of like a dragon but live under the sea. There was some sightings of the monster I think that these people are having hallucinations or something. I think this cause Loch ness was only told in MYTHS and MYTHS ARE NOT REAL!!! “25 Mysteries That Have Scared The Creeps Out of Everyone.” Emlii. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Nov. 2014.
Zodiac Killer There was a killer that sent letters to the Police and 4 letters were disturbing the rest are un known People were killed by him at lake berryessa and people really thinks that the clues that he left was very deliberate I think that these people are right because what was the point of sending a bunch of letters to the Print and the police “25 Mysteries That Have Scared The Creeps Out of Everyone.” Emlii. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Nov. 2014.
LolBahadur Shastri He was a healthy man that died suddenly although it is unsure how he died, no trace of poison, or stab wounds or whatever People thought that it was a heart attack that killed him. I think that it was a heart attack that had killed him. Because there was no trace of anything and a heart attack can be the only answear “25 Mysteries That Have Scared The Creeps Out of Everyone.” Emlii. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Nov. 2014.
SS Ourrang Medan Began with SOS message from a telegrapher that everyone on board was dead including the captain. And the telegrapher died in the process of telegraphing people think that it was chemicals Ghosts, or aliens I think that there was a certain chemical that someone sprayed causing death There is no reason for everyone to die on a ship for almost no reason “25 Mysteries That Have Scared The Creeps Out of Everyone.” Emlii. Occupy Central action

_hkg09_4604439512th day of Hong Kong’s protests.

Today is the 12th day of the Hong Kongs Protests and both sides refuse to step down. In the picture that I gave you, you can see a guy eating his lunch on the barrricade. the protests are slightly going down in the next picture that I am going to show you. altaplvqbceoanzsslqa3gfmz7z8u0cncvtb84ormaxpcq-

But the Occupy Action has not given up as the barricades are still up, and the Hong Kongers still want that Full democracy, at this stage, I think that China and the government would win the Protest. Right now the Anaconda stratergy is being used against Hong Kong. Hong Kong still wants CYLeung to step down but China will not do that for they fear that it would make them look weak, andif they do what they did in Tiananmen, The world would be horriffied at China. So there is still a huge stand off right now…

Grammar

HOW TO USE A COMMA

Screen Shot 2014-09-23 at 6.28.59 pm

1. eg. My sister, Bobby, is lazy.

In this sentence, if you take out the word Bobby and the two commas, sentence would still make sense. “My sister is lazy”

2. eg. I would like to go play badminton, but I have to do my homework.

In this sentence I used a conjunction and a comma to link two independent clauses together. You can say I would like to go play badminton. I have homework to do.

3. eg. Lets eat, dad!

In this sentence we are addressing dad in particular, so we put a comma, then our object is more specific, if we did not have it, it would be “Lets eat Dad!”

I repeat: CANNIBALISM IS NOT ALLOWED!!!

 4. I like pie, ice cream, and pancakes

In this situation, this comma is not always used well, this is known as the Oxford comma, or the Serial comma. This is made to stop list confusion people get in fights about this thing.

5. The Awesome, Funny Min Kyu.

When I wrote this, I used two adjectives to describe my self, but I had to put a comma in between for it to make sense.

6.Hi, My name is Bob, What is your name?

Hi, My name is Bob is the introductory phrases, but I need a comma there to indicate that it is an introductory phrase.

Punctuated dialogue

Today I am going to be speaking on how to punctuate dialogue because it is a simple thing that people always misuse.

There are two different types of dialogue, there is interrupted dialogue and non-interrupted dialogue. Simple, right? It is good to incorporate both of them into your story.

I shall give you a short dialogue between Mary and Fred.

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 6.35.52 pmIn this exchange of speech. what is said is out lined in brackets, signifing the fact that THOSE EXACT WORDS ARE BEING “SAID”. If you do a thoughtshot, then you must do it in Italics.

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 6.37.05 pmIf you saw this and spotted it, you would find that the punctuation mark is outside the quotation mark when Mary speaks, THIS IS INCORRECT. You need to have the punctuation mark before the quotation mark.

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 6.52.51 pmYou need to make a new paragraph everytime there is a new speaker so you can avoid confusion over who is speaking.

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 6.55.10 pmIf it is a conversation between two people, it does not need Mary said, Fred said, Mary yelled, Fred Shouted, Mary screamed and so on. You can go on and on about that. PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO READ THIS.

So… That is it for me now, and I will speak to you later about the new Grammar problem we have in my Language Arts Class.
