The song “See You Again” is about reuniting with friends or family and “seeing them again” somewhere in the future. I decided to add this song on to my playlist since many of my friends have moved in the past and some are this year as well. I hope to keep in touch and reconcile with them one day.
The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars – Doo-wops and Hooligans
I chose to add this song on my playlist since I can easily relate to it. Throughout the whole year, I have acted lazy numerous times when it came to completing school work such as homework and studying for tests.
Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots – Blurryface
This song has described me on many occasions throughout the school year. I have felt pretty stressed out about school because of all the tests, homework, projects, etc. that come along with it. But this semester was especially tiring because of the transition into High School next year.
Alive by Sia – Alive
The song “Alive” represents persevering through the hardships that life throws at you. Sometimes, you just have to handle everything that’s going on, because eventually, your problems will disappear once you’ve dealt with them.

Almost There by Anika Noni Rose – The Princess and the Frog
“And I’m almost there, I’m almost there
People down here think I’m crazy, but I don’t care”
The song “Almost There” from the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog inspired me since it showed that you shouldn’t care about what other people think, but rather focus on your own goal and how you want to live your life.

This song is about looking back at the past and revisiting all the memories created with close ones. This year, I have been in a lot of experiences with friends that are worth being remembered, such as ones from PEAK, lunches, and breaks.
How Far We’ve Come by Matchbox Twenty – Exile on Mainstream
The song “How Far We’ve Come” is also about looking back at the past and remembering the things that you’ve accomplished in your life so far. I decided to put this on my playlist, since I’ve come a long way not only from the beginning of the school year, but also ever since I started school, in R1.
Umbrella by Rhianna – Good Girl Gone Bad
I added Umbrella on my playlist since it’s about friendship and looking out for each other. “Now that it’s raining more than ever
Know that we’ll still have each other”
Those two lines represent that even through the dark times, friends will always have each other’s back and be there for one another. I know that without my friends, this school year wouldn’t have been so entertaining and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much.
