Blind Drawing Reflection

“I developed my art making skills.”
Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project?
I learned the basics of bling drawing and how normally the pen isn’t taken off the paper, so the art is created through one continuous line.

Did you gain skills with familiar materials?
I gained skills with the use of the markers and how the widths of the tips affected how the final product looked.

“I take risks.”
Did you try something that you weren’t sure about as part of this project?
I am not very confident in my art abilities as a whole, so being told to draw without looking made me a little nervous. However, I tried my best at blind drawing, and I not only mean drawing my hand, but also having to do a blind self portrait was something new.

Did you pick a material or technique that was new or different over something that was familiar?
A new technique for me in this project was drawing blindly but by feeling. Having to do the blind self portrait forced me to try something I had never done before, which was do it basically completely blind, in the sense where I couldn’t even look in a mirror.
