I feel like I was an attentive listener, looking at the speaker and showing them i’m listening by nodding my head or asking them to push their thinking further. I also think that I piggy-backed onto other peoples ideas well staying on the same topic so that is thoroughly discussed once we move on. Overall I feel that I listened well to others, and did a good job staying on topic asking questions and pushing other to think further as well as me.

I feel like this time I was an attentive and active listener using direct eye contact with the person talking. I also found that by asking many questions I pushed others to think deeper about what they read. By reading in advance it prepared me for my conversation with marked passages so I knew where to locate the passage in my novel someone else was referring to. Also by supporting my claims, thoughts, and questions with evidence from text from the book it helped my book club members to understand my thinking clearly. I think though, that I could have inquired and probed to others more to make them further analyze their thinking as well. Also I could have exercised my comprehension better and could have controlled myself more and let others speak.

The Giver 50 term Vocabulary Quiz

EHIC Assesment

I feel that my strengths for this project was how I my visuals matched what I was talking about and that I used a variety to keep the viewer intrigued. I also feel that I spoke fluently as well as at a good pace. Something I feel that I need to work on though was that I should’ve added background music in my video. Overall I feel happy with how my video ended up but would’ve liked to have been able to tweak a few things before submitting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and analyzing these three pieces of literature and encourage others to do the same.
