Reading Goal:

My Reading goal for this next quarter is to get at least ten words per book on my wonder words wall. One problem I have had this last semester is writing down words that I don’t know about. I can achieve this goal by having a pencil and a sticky note in my book at all times.

Writing Goal:

My writing goal for this next quarter is to actually use the words that we studied for Quizlet in my stories. I can achieve this goal by looking through the Quizlet words while I’m editing my stories to see if i can replace the regular words for a more complicated word. This will improve my word choice grade.


Quarter 4

Reading Goal:

My reading goal for this quarter is to consistently read a book every month. That means if I were to put a date on when i finished the book it wouldn’t be in spurts.

Writing Goal:

My writing goal for this quarter is to not see a sea of blue(Or whatever color Ms. Bevear is using to edit). This means that I want to have less errors in my writing pieces.

I can show these goal by having picture evidence of the consistency in my reading log. I’ll also show evidence by taking pictures of the growth and the less color in my essays. I’ll also take screenshots of my essays in the beginning of the year to now.

Although I could’ve done more details near the end. Overall though I am happy with the grade.

On my Everyhting has its cost video I felt like I did a good job. One of my strengths I think was how I cut down to the point and didn’t go on and on. I also feel like I have good pictures along with good music. I felt like my music choice was a good song as it didn’t have any words and it wasn’t too loud. One of my weaknesses was the lighting of my video was not enough. Next time I could shine even more light on myself to make it brighter. I also could cut down the music level and make my voice easier to hear.

Book Club:

Book Club Talk 1-22-16:


One thing I Feel that my group does really well is we all have a lot to talk about. We can all talk about the book and none of us are afraid of sharing what we think. We also as a group all have the appropriate amount of sticky notes per chapter which really makes it easy to talk. One thing we really need to work on is letting everybody talk and not interrupting them.

Book Club Talk 2-1-16


Again in this talk that our group did today we all had a lot to contribute. We also never hid our thoughts and we eventually let everybody talk. One thing that we need to work on is that there was one person who talked for most of it and that was Nino. Maybe next time me and henry should be more active contributors than today. Again a thing that we always need to work on is to not interrupt anybody.

The whole time when I was on this summative I was confused. Next time I definetly think I will take my time on the reading the essay so the paper really goes through my skull.

Batman vs The Penguin debate

Penguins main idea was that he thought bat man was a criminal. He thought that because batman always weres a mask and in the newspaper he is always with criminals. The evidence is in newspapers who he is in pictures with bad guys. Batman starts off by saying things about logic and what penguin has done. In the debate it is not fair because penguin is lying. I think that batman has the best manner because he doesn’t yell and is true.

Book: Once

Author: Morris Gleiztman

Retell: In this book felix gets on a train but its not a normal train. This train is a train that goes to death camps for jewish people in world war 2. In this train they put a lot of people in one cart so its really crammed and this cart is basically a cube with a stapled door. But felix accidentally kicked the cart and he kicked a hole! Then a bunch of men started pushing it and then they were able to jump out. But the nazis shoot them from the top of the train and when they jumped out and a few survived. So felix, zelda and chaya jumped. Chaya got killed but Felix and zelda survived.

Relate: I can relate from when i am in a airplane i just want to get out of there! Except its not as bad because i am not on a train to death.

Reflect: Why did he jump he could’ve survived the death camp by escaping or surviving.
