Setting an Organisational Folder Structure in Google Drive

Within your HKIS Google “Drive” account
Create a new folder for each subject as indicated in the image below.

  • Select “MyDrive”
  • Click the “New” button.
  • Select “Folder”
  • Name it as required
  • Repeat the process.

Add the year to the end of each folder name.  This will support effective searching later on.
Also create a “Personal” folder that can be used to house non school stuff.
Put all your previous grade stuff into the “Previous Grades” folder.
Of course having folders for each is a good idea 🙂


Using this structure throughout the school years will help you become efficient and effective with your usage of digital content.
